Next 100 Mile run will be in 2020
100+ Mile (27hr)
Start: Year 2020
Location: Tops'l Beach Resort, Destin, FL
100M Cutoffs: 50M-13hrs;100M-27hrs
This is intentionally a very difficult event with a lot of non-standard challenges! Please read everything before signing up. Our new 100+ mile event is unique in ultra running. From 4pm on Sat evening until 5am on Sun morning, 100 mile entrants will run as many miles as possible on the 2 mile loop with the 24hr runners (see 24hr tab).
IF, at 5am, you have completed 50 miles or more, you will start the last 50 miles on the normal 50 mile course (see 50 mile tab). If you complete the 50 miles early, you will either be sitting around or you can keep running.
If you have NOT completed 50 miles by 5am Sunday, you will not meet the 13hr cut-off and receive a DNF. You CANNOT switch to the 24hr event (although you may keep running if you wish).
The male and female runners who cover the most miles (ie: run the most before 5am Sun AND finish the last 50 before 7pm Sun) will be declared the winners. If two runners complete the same distance, the tie breaker will be finish time .
In 2016 15 people started, 5 finished. 2015 19 people started this race, 5 finished.
