The Destin 50 Beach Ultra, Inc DBA The Guts to Try Foundation is a IRS certified 501(c)3 public charity. EIN #27-3103375
Started in 2011, by US Air Force pilot Zane Holscher, our charity has raised over $442,000 for the SOWF and over $225,000 for other military charities and causes. For the race alone- each year Destin 50 Beach Ultra, Inc. invests nearly all the entry fees from the Destin Beach Ultras into the production of the race itself, setting aside only a few thousand dollars as seed money for the next year's race. Any income not invested in the race, or set aside for seed money, is donated to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. None of the staff, volunteers, or members of the board of directors receives any compensation for the thousands of hours of work they do to plan and produce the race. |
